Sophie Sophie is the French form of Sophia. In English speaking countries, Sophie has often been regarded as a diminutive of "Sophia", but it has also frequently been given as a name in its own right, especially in the United Kingdom where it has been constantly popular since the 1960s.  Tucker, known as "The Last of the Red Hot Mamas," was a singer, vaudeville vaudeville (vôd`vĭl), originally a light song, derived from the drinking and love songs formerly attributed to Olivier Basselin and called Vau, or Vaux, de Vire.  and film star, who also appeared on TV, during a more than 60-year career. Lois Young-Tulin, an established writer and teacher, is now paying tribute to her beloved great grand aunt AUNT, domestic relations.
