What:    MADD Washington, the Washington State Patrol, the King County
         DUI Victims Panel and PEMCO Insurance will present a program
         on July 3 to raise awareness of DUI risks during the Fourth
         of July.

         Karen Minahan, president of MADD Washington, and George
         Fraser, member of the King County DUI Victims panel, will
         share their personal tragedies and speak on the importance
         of designated driving. The Fourth of July is the deadliest
         holiday in Washington state, with 40 percent of those fatal
         auto crashes involving alcohol.

         A vehicle will be displayed from a 2001 head-on collision
         near Fife that took the lives of two women and a 5-month old
         child. The wreck occurred when an intoxicated driver pushed
         a SUV carrying one woman across the center line where she
         struck another vehicle.
