WHEN:           Tuesday, May 11, 2004

WHAT:           The National SAFE KIDS Campaign and Bell Sports will
                unveil the findings of Headed for Injury: An
                Observational Survey of Helmet Use Among Children Ages
                14 and Under Participating in Wheeled Sports.

                First nationwide observational survey of helmet use
                among children who ride bikes, rollerblades,
                skateboards and scooters. Sample: more than 8,000
                children.

WHO:            Linda Armstrong Kelly, mother of five-time Tour de
                France winner Lance Armstrong. A long-time advocate of
                cycling and bike safety, Linda will discuss the survey
                results and tips for ensuring the health and safety of
                all children.

                Dr. Angela Mickalide, program director of the National
                SAFE KIDS Campaign, is available to discuss the survey
                findings.

WHY:            Head injury is the leading cause of death in wheeled
                sports activities.

WHERE:          Linda Armstrong Kelly will be available for interviews
                May 11-13 in New York. Angela Mickalide, Ph.D., will
                be available in Washington, D.C. or New York.
