Greater Boston Greater Boston is the area of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts surrounding the city of Boston, Massachusetts. While Metro Boston tends to be the "Inner Core" surrounding the City of Boston, Greater Boston overlaps the North and South Shores, as well as the MetroWest region.  Food Bank


WHO:    The Comedy Connection, the Rustic Kitchen and WZLX 100.7 FM,
        join together to sponsor the first annual "Canned Laughter"
        event in an effort to raise food and donations to support The
        Greater Boston Food Bank's on-going fight against hunger. .

WHAT:   Comedians including Bobcat Goldthwait, Tony V., Lauren
        Verge, Don Gavin, Harrison Stebbins, special surprise guests
        and musician James Montgomery. In addition, there will be a
        silent auction, with proceeds benefiting The Greater Boston
        Food Bank. Mayor Thomas M. Menino is the honorary chair of
        Canned Laughter and the evening's host.

        Guests are asked to bring non-perishable food items to be
        donated to The Food Bank. A pre-comedy reception will be held
        at the Rustic Kitchen in Faneuil Hall Marketplace, which will
        include a cocktail reception with some of the local
        entertainers and celebrities. A post-party will be held at
        Boston Rocks, which is connected to The Comedy Connection.
