(Nov. 7) --(BUSINESS WIRE) WHAT: Members of the media are invited to a summit meeting devoted to technology development in the biotech and medical technology fields. The Summit is the first such annual event hosted by the Industry Partners Consortium (IPC), formed recently by scientists, researchers, and clinicians at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) and the University of California, Davis, Health System. The IPC, which leverages research, intellectual property, and clinical capabilities at the two institutions in cooperation with the private sector, is dedicated to streamlining and accelerating the pace of commercialization in areas that will have a direct impact on human health. The Summit will enable the press to meet with key personnel at Livermore and UC Davis who have been instrumental in forming the IPC, as well as to hear principal investigators talk about their ongoing work.
