(April 7 & 8) --(BUSINESS WIRE) American Cancer Society Relay for Life 2000 -- Point Loma Fact Sheet Who: CTSnet Internet Services is the proud sponsor of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Point Loma. What: Relay for Life -- Teams gather to celebrate life throughout a 24-hour period. Tents are pitched and campsites decorated in a variety of themes. The guiding rule of Relay for Life is to keep at least one team member out on the track at all times. Most walk, some jog, but this is not a race and it is not a marathon. Relay for Life -- After dark a Luminary Ceremony is held featuring a candle lit remembrance of those who lost their battle against cancer and in hope of those currently fighting the disease. The heartfelt love and caring shared by friends and family unite the participants. When: Friday and Saturday, April 7 & 8, 2000 Teams arrive by 6:30pm Friday Relay begins at 7pm Friday and ends at 7pm Saturday Luminary Ceremony begins at 10pm.
