WHO: David Gallagher of "7th Heaven" will be appearing, and pop
group Innosense will be performing their single from the
movie's soundtrack. Pikachu will also be on campus, along with
the famous fleet of custom-made yellow Pikachu VW Beetles and
Lugia P.T. Cruisers.
WHAT: One thousand lucky students at Lampson Elementary School will
be the first to see the latest big-screen Pokemon adventure
before it opens nationally in theaters. Lampson is one of
65,000 schools across the country invited to participate in
The Premiere Poke-Read-A-Rama Challenge, an in-school literacy
program that encourages kids to read. Lampson was selected by a
drawing for the national sweepstakes world premiere prize.
The students who read the most books in their class will
receive the esteemed "Pichu" Premiere Award and a gift basket
from Nintendo. The "Pichus" are given out as part of the
reading initiative. Additionally, Lampson Elementary School
will receive a donation for its school library.
Teen star David Gallagher of "7th Heaven" is hosting the
celebration, which will begin in the school's courtyard at
10:45 a.m. and will feature musical surprises from the movie's
soundtrack, including a performance by pop group Innosense.
Following the morning's festivities, the children will be
escorted to a nearby AMC Theater for the 1 p.m. screening of
"Pokemon 3 The Movie," the much-anticipated sequel to the first
two popular Pokemon feature films.
