WHO:    More than two dozen corporate leaders from throughout Eastern
        Pennsylvania

WHAT:   Will get a preview of the second annual Light The Night Walk,
        an event that last year raised more than $4.7 million
        nationally to help find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and
        other blood-related cancers, at a Power Breakfast hosted by
        Nextel Communications

WHEN:   This Wednesday morning (June 21st), from 8:00 a.m. to
        9 o'clock

WHERE:  In the Mayor's Conversation Room (Philadelphia City Hall,
        Room 201)

WHY:    To encourage local businesses to celebrate and commemorate
        lives touched by cancer by entering teams of walkers in this
        year's evening walk


Details: Tim Enright, general manager of Nextel's Philadelphia Market and corporate recruitment chairman for this year's Light The Night Walk, will invite area businesses to join Nextel as a local sponsor and/or field a team of walkers to raise funds for research and other programs. Philadelphia Mayor John Street will serve as honorary chairman of the 2000 Light The Night Walk, scheduled for Saturday evening, September 23rd along Boathouse Row Boathouse Row is an historic site located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on the east bank of the Schuylkill River. It consists of a row of boathouses housing racing shells. . Simultaneous events conducted around the country by the Leukemia leukemia (lkē`mēə), cancerous disorder of the blood-forming tissues (bone marrow, lymphatics, liver, spleen) characterized by excessive production of immature or mature  & Lymphoma lymphoma, a cancer of the tissue of the lymphatic system. There are two categories of lymphomas. One type is termed Hodgkin's disease, the other, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (see lymphoma, non-Hodgkin's).
