WHAT: LIFE TIME FITNESS Reindeer Run 5K - Help support a great
cause and watch Elite runners race for a total prize purse
over $3,000.
WHERE: LIFE TIME FITNESS Center in Easton Town Center - Columbus,
Ohio
WHEN: Saturday, December 14, 2002
-- Race day registration - 7:30 a.m.
-- Santa's official "Ho ho ho...go!" start - 8:30 a.m.
-- Elite-Invited Criterium start - 9:30 a.m.
WHY: This "sleigh-measured" 5K "fun run" begins at 8:30 a.m. with
an official "Ho Ho Ho...Go!" start courtesy of Santa himself.
An Elite 5K Criterium, featuring invited Elite runners, will
follow at 9:30. Elite runners race for a total prize purse of
over $3,000: 1st Place - $600; 2nd Place - $350; 3rd Place -
$250; 4th Place - $200; 5th Place - $100.
For amateur runners, the race is a fun run and official
results are not kept. However, each of the top five amateur
men and women will receive awards at 9:45 a.m. at LIFE TIME
FITNESS.
Each year, the LIFE TIME FITNESS Reindeer Run partners with
the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program,
resulting in thousands of items donated to children in need.
All participants are encouraged to support this worthy cause
by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to the race. Collection boxes
will be available at race check-in and within all LIFE TIME
FITNESS facilities nationwide.
