WHAT:   In honor of an historic legacy of public service and the
        90th anniversary of the founding of Delta Sigma Theta
        Sorority, Inc. (DST), LAWRY'S(R) Foods will make a $10,000
        donation to launch year three of the LAWRY'S(R)/DST National
        Collegiate Public Service Grant Program.

WHEN:   7:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2003

WHERE:  The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority 90th Anniversary Awards Gala
        Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC.

WHAT ELSE:

        Delta Sigma Theta will announce the establishment of an
        endowed scholarship at Howard University in honor of the
        sorority's Founders and Past National Presidents who attended
        the university.

        Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry will be the special
        guest at the Awards Gala. In addition, Leadership Awards will
        be bestowed upon Drs. Camille and William F. Cosby
        (Community); Dr. Johnnetta Cole, President, Bennett College
        (Education); Vernon Jordan, Esq. (Executive) and General
        Electric Company (Corporate).
