WHAT:    Kings President Tim Leiweke, Vice President/General Manager
         Dave Taylor and star player Luc Robitaille will present
         members of the Los Angeles City Council with newly designed
         Kings jerseys to celebrate the 1998-99 hockey season. The
         Kings' home opener is this Friday, Oct. 16, against the
         Boston Bruins. On behalf of the entire City Council,
         President John Ferraro will present Kings management with an
         official city proclamation that wishes the Kings success in
         the upcoming season. This season is the Kings' last at the
         Forum. Next season (1999-2000), the Kings, Lakers and
         Clippers will move into the STAPLES Center, Los Angeles' new
         downtown state-of-the-art sports and entertainment complex.

WHEN:    Wednesday, Oct. 14
         10 a.m. -- Start of the regularly scheduled City Council
                    meeting
