The newest Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. (NYSE:KKD) store is set to debut in Riverside on Tuesday, June 5, marking the chain's second site in the Inland Empire. Located at 1616 University Ave., the store will open its doors ready to serve hot, fresh Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnuts to customers at 5:30 a.m.

As the "baker's dozen" thirteenth Krispy Kreme store in Southern California, the new Riverside location features the signature "Hot Doughnuts Now" neon sign, which glows from 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. every day to alert customers that hot, fresh Original Glazed doughnuts are ready to be eaten. Through the store's glass windows, customers can enjoy a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the doughnut-making process. The store's convenient drive-thru service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Counter service hours are from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 5:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., Friday and Saturday.

Krispy Kreme made its Southern California debut in January 1999 with the opening of its La Habra store. Following that location, 11 additional stores have opened including Van Nuys, Orange, Ontario, Huntington Park, Long Beach, Gardena, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, San Diego, City of Industry and Canoga Park. In addition to the new Riverside store, Krispy Kreme plans to continue its Southern California expansion with store openings in Palmdale and Oxnard later this year.
