He composed the scores for the hit Broadway musicals Hello, Dolly!, Mame, and La Cage aux Folles. , Ann Reinking Ann Reinking (born November 10, 1949 in Seattle, Washington) is an American actress and dancer, most famous for her association with choreographer Bob Fosse.

Reinking originally trained as a ballet dancer.

Artist Awards is the most prestigious recognition given to

outstanding artists by the Music Center. Since 1982, the

Distinguished Artist Awards has recognized and honored

prominent members of the cultural community in the fields of

accomplishments have demonstrated great achievement and

wide-reaching influence. Past honorees include Gregory Peck,

Club 100 and Blue Ribbon member Eunice David is this year's

event chair. The executive producers of the 17th Annual

Distinguished Artist Awards are Roxanne Messina Captor and

Kathie Coen. It will be produced by Scott Mauro, directed by

Walter Grauman and written by A.J. Carothers.

Where: Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel, 9500 Wilshire Blvd.,

Beverly Hills.

When: 6 p.m., Wed., November 4.

Why: The Music Center of Los Angeles County is among the nation's

leading performing arts institutions. The Distinguished

Artist Awards is one of several programs designed to reward

artists for their accomplishments, as well as encourage

aspiring artists. The Music Center is dedicated to

cultivating artists and audiences to ensure that the

performing and visual arts continue to thrive in Los Angeles

and across the nation.

Proceeds from the annual Distinguished Artist Awards help underwrite the BRAVO Award Program which pays tribute to outstanding educators for their leadership, inspiration, and creativity in teaching the arts in public schools. The BRAVO Award is the preeminent award given to California educators acknowledging them for their excellence in arts education. Evening proceeds also help underwrite the resident companies of the Music Center in their quest to attract young audiences.

Club 100 is a membership organization of the Music Center Unified Fund which provides financial support for the resident companies of the Music Center - the L.A. Philharmonic, Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum and Ahmanson Theatre, L. A. Opera and Los Angeles Master Chorale The Los Angeles Master Chorale is a famous professional chorus in Los Angeles, California. Grant Gershon has been its music director since 2001, succeeding Paul Salamunovich.  -- as well as the Music Center Education Division. Club 100 includes more than 100 women who support and promote the performing arts in the community through education, advocacy, and fundraising. Louise Epstein currently serves as President of Club 100.
