WHAT: At a scientific symposium at Ghent University in Belgium, Dr.
Hugo Moser, director of Neurogenetics at Kennedy Krieger
Institute in Baltimore, presented the findings of a major,
10-year study of 'Lorenzo's Oil' therapy in children with
        adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). The multi-site, international
clinical trial, the first to examine the preventive effect of
the treatment, found that, in a significant number of cases,
carefully supervised Lorenzo's Oil therapy given to children
with early stage ALD reduced the chance of neurological damage
that can later devastate the child and his family. The study
already has attracted significant attention by the
international scientific community, and by members of the
        national and international press.

WHEN: Dr. Moser will be returning to the United States and
available for interviews beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct.
        2. Call Profiles PR at (410) 243-3790 to schedule an
interview. A copy of the research abstract, as well as a
detailed press release, will be made available at that time.

WHERE: Kennedy Krieger Institute, 707 N. Broadway, Baltimore, MD.
