Award-winning documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, whose films "Baseball" and "The Civil War" are credited with breathing new life into PBS PBS
 in full Public Broadcasting Service

Private, nonprofit U.S. corporation of public television stations. PBS provides its member stations, which are supported by public funds and private contributions rather than by commercials, with educational, cultural,
 programming, will be the guest speaker at a luncheon celebrating the launch of the Gale Group's History Resource Center, a subscription Internet service designed for libraries, schools and universities.

History Resource Center is the first product to integrate history's most important original documents, classic references, scholarly journals and newspapers and magazine articles within a single interface. Upon History Resource Center's debut, the A&E Network's History Channel recommended it as one of the most important new products ever introduced in the field of history.

The event begins at noon and will wrap up about 2:00. The agenda includes lunch, a brief demonstration of History Resource Center, and a one-hour presentation by Mr. Burns that concludes with a question and answer session.
