ADVISORY/KRLA Radio and the American Association for Single People to Announce a Joint Fundraising Drive to Reopen Overnight Shelter for Single Women at the Union Rescue Mission.

WHAT:    A press conference to announce a joint fundraising effort
         (initiated by radio station KRLA and American Association for
         Single People (AASP)) for the purpose of re-opening the
         Single Women's 110-bed Dorm at Union Rescue Mission (which
         closes April 5).

         -- KRLA will make available air time each day and AASP will
            offer an $80,000 challenge grant to the people of Los
            Angeles toward the $320,000 necessary to re-open the
            facility.

         -- Union Rescue Mission gratefully contacted KRLA and AASP
            and put them in touch with each other. The result is the
            press conference and launching of this fundraising effort.

WHEN:    Thursday, April 5
         10 a.m.

WHERE:   The Union Rescue Mission, Ground Floor
         545 S. San Pedro Street, Los Angeles
         (Secured underground parking available)

PRESS CONFERENCE PROGRAM:

         Representatives of all three organizations (AASP, KRLA and
         Union Rescue Mission) will make brief presentations at the
         press conference.

         After the formal presentations, there will be a question and
         answer session.

         Tours of the Mission, including the single women's dorm, will
         be available at the end of the conference.

INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITIES:

         Opportunities for interviews with Mission representatives,
         members of AASP, KRLA, and recipients of the Mission's
         services will be available for interviews.
