It is bordered by Massachusetts (N), Rhode Island (E), Long Island Sound (S), and New York (W). . Juvenile Justice Day 2003 is an opportunity to meet the people behind that issue. This event, which is being held in the concourse between the Legislative Office Building and the Capitol Capitol, seat of the U.S. Congress Capitol, seat of the U.S. government at Washington, D.C. The third annual Juvenile Justice Day will feature displays by the staff and youth being served by the programs. This event provides legislators, staff and the general public the opportunity to receive first-hand information about existing juvenile justice programs and the CT Juvenile Justice system. Staff and youth will meet with their Legislators and take a tour of the Capitol with the League of Women Voters League of Women Voters, voluntary public service organization of U.S. citizens. Organized in 1920 in Chicago as an outgrowth of the National American Woman Suffrage Association, it had as its original nucleus the leaders of the latter organization. to enhance the educational experience. The CT Association of Nonprofits represents over 530 nonprofit organizations Nonprofit Organization An association that is given tax-free status. Donations to a non-profit organization are often tax deductible as well. Notes: Examples of non-profit organizations are charities, hospitals and schools. in Connecticut. Within that membership are approximately 40 Juvenile Justice programs funded, in part, by the Department of Children and Families and/or the Court Support Services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services Division of the Judicial Branch. Juvenile Justice Day 2003 is a celebration of the success of these programs statewide.
