In THE ROOKIE, Dennis Quaid ("Traffic," "Frequency") stars as real-life baseball player Jim Morris, a minor league pitcher who sees his big-league career denied by a serious injury. Morris becomes a teacher and coach, motivating kids on and off the baseball diamond while imagining what might have been. When his own players challenge Morris to try out for a major league team, Morris finds out that you're never too old to follow your dreams. THE ROOKIE'S all-star cast includes Rachel Griffiths (TV's "Six Feet Under," "The Adventures of Tom Thumb Tom Thumb, 1838–83, American entertainer, whose original name was Charles Sherwood Stratton, b.
