WHO: Jerry O'Connell made his feature-film debut at age 12 in director
Rob Reiner's 1986 film "Stand By Me." Since then, O'Connell has
appeared in several movies, including "Joe's Apartment," "Jerry
Maguire" and "Scream 2." On television, he starred in the
science-fiction series "Sliders" from 1995 to 1999, also enjoying
stints as a producer and director of the show in its latter
seasons, and appeared in the 1999 NBC miniseries "The '60s."

actor Jerry O'Connell, who stars in the film as astronaut Phil
