WHAT: Mr. Wacker will deliver the keynote address at the opening
session of ISA 2001. His presentation, titled "The Next Big
Things," will address the coming waves of technology and how
it will increase safety and efficiency in the manufacturing
plant. Mr. Wacker's presentation will focus on three areas:
Mobility Phase, which focuses on wearable computers, the
concept of digital delegation and ubiquitous computing.
Mr. Wacker has more than 26 years of experience in the
application of advanced information technology capabilities
for high business impact. His is currently an EDS Fellow and
Information Technology-focused Futurist for EDS. He is known
for his innovative approach in identifying and applying
emerging technologies to create differentiated value. Mr.
Wacker holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science
and a master's of business administration from the University
of Nebraska.
