Intel Developer Forum Intel Developer Forum (IDF), is a twice yearly gathering of technologists to discuss Intel products and products based around Intel products. The first IDF was in 1997. There is usually a Spring IDF and a Fall IDF.  Spring 2004

WHAT:           Intel Developer Forum (IDF) enters its eighth year
                with the traditional "systems" conference (Feb. 17-19)
                and a new two-day, segmented "solutions" conference
                (Feb. 17-18).

                The systems conference targets original equipment
                manufacturer (OEM) hardware suppliers, architecture
                leaders and hardware technology decision makers who
                focus on designing hardware and creating the building
                blocks required for developing new end user solutions.
                The solutions conference targets IT decision makers as
                well as developers, influencers and decision makers of
                software applications and tools. The solutions
                conference is tailored to the mobility solutions needs
                of the corporate enterprise, and for IDF Spring 2004
                will be a second gated attraction in amusement park
                terms. Registrants will sign up for the systems
                conference, the solutions conference or both.

                Attendees of IDF Spring 2004 will hear and experience
                the latest on such technology focus areas wireless and
                clients, the digital home, desktop technologies,
                mobility solutions, enterprise, communications and
                R&D. The event also will feature nearly 200 hours of
                sessions and labs and a series of networking events.
                Covered will be such hot topics as WiMAX and other
                wireless technologies, notebook platform concepts for
                2005, the digital home, high-performance computing,

                LaGrande Technology, Extensible Firmware Interface
                (EFI) and such initiative-type technologies as Ultra
                Wideband (UWB), PCI Express, Serial ATA and Wireless
                USB.
