TOPIC: The FBI is reportedly investigating a new internet worm that is similar,
but perhaps more aggressive than, the Code Red worm of several months ago.
Experts in a story by the Associated Press warn that "W32.Nimda," which tries
to break into Microsoft's Internet Information Services software, has
apparently affected thousands of computers. Most home users, including those
running Windows 95, 98 or ME, are not affected, experts in the story said. In
addition to direct Internet attacks, the worm can also travel via e-mail, which
arrives with a blank subject field and an attachment called "README.EXE."
