Business Editors

ADVISORY...For Thursday Thursday: see week.  (Sept. 25)

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

                              FACT SHEET

WHAT: The Central Florida Innovation Corporation (CFIC) presents
Innovation Florida 2003 - An Early Stage Capital Raising
Conference, sponsored by Akerman Senterfitt, American
Venture Magazine, Business Wire and the University of
Central Florida Technology Incubator. Sustaining sponsors
include Ernst & Young LLP and the Florida Venture Forum.

Innovation Florida 2003 is an annual regional early stage
capital conference that connects Florida's hottest emerging
technology companies with leading investors, venture
capitalists and financiers for an exclusive business
development event. Over the past seven years, former
presenters of the conference have been successful in raising
          over $130 million.

Kenneth P. Morse, Managing Director of the MIT
Entrepreneurship Center, will serve as the keynote speaker
for Innovation Florida 2003, discussing the "Spirit of High
Tech Entrepreneurship - What's Hot and What's Not". Morse
is a serial entrepreneur, having played a key role in
          launching six high-tech start-ups, including 3Com
Corporation, Aspen Technology, an expert systems company,
and a biotech firm. His batting average is 0.833 - five of
his start-ups went public or were successfully merged; one
was a complete disaster. As head of the MIT Entrepreneurship
Center, Morse is responsible for inspiring, training, and
coaching new generations of entrepreneurs from all parts of
MIT. He has been profiled and quoted in numerous
publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Financial
Times, Economist, and Red Herring. Under his leadership, the
MIT Entrepreneurship Center has grown from only a few
professors teaching 2-3 entrepreneurship courses to over 30
          faculty teaching 20 courses.

Additionally, Morse serves on the Board of Associates of the
Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research, as well as on
the Advisory Boards of PolyTechnos Venture-Partners,
Capricorn Venture Partners, Orchid Partners, and Darby
Technology Ventures Group. When Morse is not helping MIT
students and alumni build new businesses, he enjoys sailing
his 45 year-old wooden boat with his family.
