WHAT: Civic and interfaith leaders representing a wide range of
religions will honor Rabbi Harvey J. Fields, who recently
completed 21 years as senior rabbi at Wilshire Boulevard
Temple, the oldest and one of the largest Reform synagogues
in Los Angeles.
Rabbi Fields will be recognized for his work in fostering
interfaith and multicultural relations. During his 40 years
in the rabbinate, Rabbi Fields served as president of the
National Conference for Community and Justice, the
Interreligious Council of Southern California, Board of
Rabbis of Southern California and the Jewish Community
Relations Committee of the Jewish Federation Council
of Greater Los Angeles.
