ADVISORY/Intel Chairman Dr. Andrew S. Grove and Dr. C. Everett Koop to Hold News Conference on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

--(BW HealthWire)--
WHAT: Intel Corporation Chairman Dr. Andrew S. Grove and former
U.S. Surgeon General Dr. C. Everett Koop will present a new
vision of Internet-enabled health care at Intel's Internet
Health Day, Tue., Oct. 27, 1998, in San Francisco. The
Internet is dramatically changing consumer-driven industries
such as banking, retailing and financial services by freeing
access to information and enabling new business models for
the distribution and sale of products and services. Grove
and Koop will discuss why U.S. health care is the target of
the next Internet revolution, in which U.S. consumers are
empowered to receive health information, products and
          services via the Internet.

A Grove keynote speech and a joint news conference with Koop
are available to local media. The joint press conference
will also be broadcast nationally via satellite and offered
via audio conference for out-of-area news media.

WHEN: Grove will give his keynote speech at 9 a.m. PST. A
transcript will be available shortly afterward in the
Internet Health Day virtual press kit at
          www.intel.com/pressroom/kits/events/9810ihd.htm.

The joint news conference with Grove and Koop will begin at
12:30 p.m. PST. It will also be broadcast via live satellite
feed to national TV, with B-roll feed. Coordinates:
Satellite GE2, transponder 1, location 85 degrees west, on
C-band. In case of technical difficulties, call (916)
          799-6754.

In addition, the joint news conference will be available via
