ADVISORY/Innovative, Modern Transit System Debuts on April 10; New Rail System Outperforms Streetcars, Subways, Buses, and Cars.

News Editors/Assignment Desks

ADVISORY...for Thursday Thursday: see week.  (April 10)

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

What: A launch demonstration and media briefing to introduce
SkyWeb Express, a newly-developed urban transportation system.

Developed by Twin Cities-based Taxi 2000, the invention is a
system of automated vehicles that ride a network of elevated
mini-monorails. SkyWeb Express passengers are able to travel
in privacy and comfort via an automatic, non-stop trip
directly to the station of their choice. The system is
designed so that cars wait for passengers versus passengers
having to wait for the cars.

Now that development is complete, the company will market its
solution to communities around the world. SkyWeb Express'
benefits include low cost, easy installation and operation,
scalability and energy efficiency. Experts agree that the new
transit system could eliminate the need for subsidies for
urban transit and could greatly alleviate traffic congestion
        in metro areas.
