VISUALS:     Demonstrating the lessons learned through the Weeds to
             Wonder program, a handful of Crenshaw students will be
             transplanting native plant seedlings into larger pots.

BACKGROUND:  Weeds to Wonder--or W2W, as it's popularly known--brings
             inner-city students from Crenshaw High to Baldwin Hills
             Scenic Overlook Park once a week to learn about
             horticulture, landscaping, and the environment through a
             hands-on experience.  Now in its fourth year, MWD's
             Community Partnering Program will offer nearly $500,000
             to support water-related education projects and programs
             this year.
