ADVISORY/Infraworks Executive Available to Comment on Pending SDMI Meeting, Questions Surrounding IBM's Newly Announced DRM Product Offering.

News/Assignment Editors

ADVISORY...for Wednesday Wednesday: see week.  (Jan. 23)

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

Who: Dr. George Friedman, CEO and Founder, Infraworks

Dr. Friedman, a nationally recognized expert on computing
security solutions, strongly believes the music and publishing
industries can prevent their content from unauthorized use and
unlimited distribution -- but asserts that to do so, they must
look beyond today's standard encryption and digital rights
        management (DRM) offerings.

Dr. Friedman founded Infraworks' technology as a means to
deter theft, manipulation and misuse of digital intellectual
property by the user. All of the security claims of
Infraworks' InTether software have been validated by The
        National Software Testing Lab.

By using InTether, content owners can place restrictions on
individual files, preventing recipients from copying,
printing, editing, sending, saving or altering the content of
the file. What makes Infraworks' technology unique is that
unlike desktop applications, InTether restrictions are in
place for the lifetime of the file. The technology restricts
an individual from making a digital file available on file
sharing networks or for unauthorized redistribution. If
hacking is attempted on a file, the file self-destructs.

Why: IBM announces new DRM product that claims to prevent
unlimited file sharing and members of Secure Digital Music
Initiative (SDMI) meet to discuss industry progress.

Forrester Research estimates that by 2005, record companies
will lose $3.5 billion as a result of unauthorized
distribution methods and file-sharing technologies such as
Napster. Digital rights management (DRM) technologies --
including one unveiled this week by IBM -- and watermarking
technologies -- such as those offered by SDMI -- fail to live
up to the hype by offering the kind of protection that matches
        their claims.

When: Dr. Friedman is available today (January 23), Wednesday, and
        Thursday for interviews

More About Dr. Friedman: Dr. Friedman was involved in the
development of BITNET, an early version of the Internet. He is
a well-known author of books and articles on international
affairs and business intelligence and has lectured widely on
defense and national security issues. Dr. Friedman has more
than 25 years experience in computer programming, management,
        international research, intelligence methodologies and
        analysis.
