                  including Hewlett-Packard Co., MCC/Verbatim, Philips
                  Electronics, Ricoh Co. Ltd., Sony Corp. and Yamaha
                  Corp.

WHAT:             CD-Rewritable industry leaders will:

                  -- Share their vision of the CD-Rewritable/DVD+RW
                     roadmap
                  -- Comment on why 4.7 GB DVD+RW is different and
                     more appealing to consumers
                  -- Discuss tomorrow's exciting new convergence
                     applications and use models that will emerge as a
                     result of 4.7 GB DVD+RW

                  The group will introduce initiatives that will
                  accelerate DVD+RW becoming an industry standard in
                  PCs and consumer electronic devices.

                  The new format's compatibility will be put to the
                  test when a 4.7 GB DVD+RW disc is played live using
                  off-the-shelf consumer DVD video players and DVD-ROM
                  drives.

WHEN:             Wednesday, June 28, 2000
                  11 a.m.-1 p.m.

                  Q&A session with key executives from each of the
                  companies will follow the DVD+RW presentation and
                  demonstration. Light lunch will be served following
