Business Appreciation Week and National Small Business Week.

WHY ANADAC
WAS CHOSEN: The Arlington County Police Department nominated ANADAC
for its successful implementation and integration of
ANADAC's DCTrack(c) and DC Book(c) Software Products into
their Criminal Justice Information System. The system is
installed in Arlington County's, Police and Sheriff's
Department. Both products are members of ANADAC's
DocuCOLOR(TM) product family, which is an advanced 32-bit
Windows(TM) application that performs a variety of
criminal justice information management functions. The
system allows officers to quickly and accurately capture,
store, and search images and their associated demographic
data. The DCTrack(c) product is equipped with
Identix/ANADAC's latest release of an Integrated Facial
Recognition Module which utilizes state-of-the-art
identification technology to assist officers in
identifying suspects or linking crime scene data.
Captain Mike Hill of Arlington County Police commented
"It is Arlington County's hope and expectation that the
digital automation of our mugshot files in conjunction
with the facial recognition feature will greatly enhance
our ability to provide our officers and detectives with
positive leads in solving crimes." The DCTrack product is
complemented with Identix/ANADAC's DCBadge(c) product
which provides users with the ability to quickly and
easily create and generate badges for personnel, visitors,
contractors, etc. This system combines advanced
identification technologies including both fingerprint and
facial verification.
The delivery of this system marked the first criminal
justice information system in the United States based on
facial recognition technology.
The systems integration of the two biometric
identification technologies with an automated digital
mugshot filing system is an example of how advanced
technology can be used to enhance the performance of local
government.
