ADVISORY...

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

Bio-IT World:

WHAT: Bio-IT World, the industry's premier B-to-B publication
addressing technology for the life sciences, has announced its
second annual "Best Practices" awards program. The program
recognizes the most noteworthy innovations and results in the
research, development and manufacture of bio-IT-enabled
therapeutics and diagnostics, as well as the underlying
        business strategies that support them.

A distinguished panel of advisors and judges will work with
the Bio-IT World editorial staff to evaluate entries and
select the best-of class in each of ten categories, ranging
from Drug Discovery & Development, to Knowledge Management &
Collaboration, Lab Automation, Business Strategies, and
Regulatory Compliance. Three-to-five finalists and one winner
will be selected in each of the categories.

WHEN: Entries are being accepted now through April 12, 2004.
Organizations who submit earlier may choose to have Bio-IT
World editors review their entries and provide feedback prior
to the entry deadline. Finalists and winners will be announced
in the August issue of Bio-IT World, and honored at a gala
event on June 15th in Washington, D.C.

WHO: Organizations eligible for participating in this program
include R&D, scientific facilities and labs in pharmaceutical
companies, biotech companies, academia, government, medical or
related institutions and organizations, as well as public and
private research organizations. The respective organization's
work must have been undertaken in the last two years at either
a workgroup level or enterprise level.

WHY: Participating parties will receive industry-wide recognition
for innovative utilization of life science and information
technology in research and development of therapeutics and
diagnostics. Finalists and winners will be given editorial
exposure in Bio-IT World, inclusion in Bio-IT World press
releases, a Certificate of Recognition, a crystal award for
display, networking opportunities at the awards gala, and will
be included in the 2004 Best Practices Compendium of entries -
available only to award program participants.

HOW: Entry form, submission details, and examples of best practices
        scenarios are available at
        www.bio-itworld.com/awards/bestpractices/.
        Deadline for submission: April 12.
