Hundreds of California California (kăl'ĭfôr`nyə), most populous state in the United States, located in the Far West; bordered by Oregon (N), Nevada and, across the Colorado River, Arizona (E), Mexico (S), and the Pacific Ocean (W).  Registered Nurses will hold a two-day conference in Sacramento Monday Monday: see week.  and Tuesday Tuesday: see week.  to discuss the state's ongoing staffing and health care crisis.

The conference, hosted by the California Nurses Association The California Nurses Association (CNA) is the largest and fastest-growing labor union and professional association of Registered Nurses in California. The National Nurses Organizing Committee is a national labor union for Registered Nurses, and is affiliated with the CNA. , will be held at the Holiday Inn Capitol Capitol, seat of the U.S. Congress

       --   Ralph Nader keynote address, Monday, March 20, Holiday Inn
          Capitol Plaza Grand Ballroom, 1st floor, 1 p.m. Nader, the
          nation's most eminent consumer advocate, will discuss health
          care reform, an issue that ranks second in national polls in
          importance to voters.

       --   Press conference to introduce new magazine for front-line
          nurses, Monday, March 20, Holiday Inn Capitol Plaza, John Q
          Lounge, 16th floor, 2:15 p.m. Revolution, the Journal for
          RNs and Patient Advocacy is the first international
          publication to provide a voice for direct care nurses. RN
          editorial board members from California, Massachusetts, and
          Canada will describe the magazine which has already drawn
          rave reviews from nurses across the U.S. and Canada.

       --   International RN Forum on Safe Staffing and the Health Care
          Crisis, Monday, March 20, Holiday Inn Capitol Plaza, Grand
          Ballroom, 1st floor, 7:30 p.m. The forum will feature RN
          leaders and activists from Pennsylvania, New York, Rhode
          Island, Massachusetts, Minnesota, California, and Canada.
          They will review state, national, and international
          solutions to the growing crisis in safe staffing and
          deteriorating patient care standards.

       --   March on Sutter Health, Tuesday, March 21. Begins at Holiday
          Inn Capitol Plaza, 12:30 p.m. and ends at Sutter Health
          corporate headquarters, One Capitol Mall. Nurses will
          protest Sutter's corporate health care policies, including a
          recent decision to lock out RNs at Marin General Hospital.


All the events are part of a direct care RN conference held annually in Sacramento by CNA (Certified NetWare Administrator) See Novell certification. , the state's largest organization of registered nurses.
