Joe Murphy, vice president of Application Management Services
for IT services firm Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE), will join
moderator Ted Kempf, a Gartner analyst, and other leading
companies in a panel discussion exploring the benefits and
risks associated with global sourcing strategies at the
Brainstorm San Francisco Nearshore and Offshore Outsourcing
Conference.
The panel will identify best practices in leveraging offshore
outsourcing as a vehicle to reduce costs and maximize return
on investment. In addition, panelists will examine vendor
relationships and identify obstacles to success.
Murphy will tap into his 22 years of IT and outsourcing
experience to provide attendees with the critical information
companies need to consider before embarking on a global
sourcing strategy. In doing so, he will compare the types of
outsourcing projects that succeed with those that fail. He
will also contribute his thoughts on how to avoid some of the
most common, but frequently overlooked pitfalls. Finally, he
