      WHO: Public Relations Society of America -- Houston Chapter

      WHAT: Join the celebration with Houston's top public relations
        professionals for the 50th anniversary of the PRSA-Houston
        Chapter and recognize the outstanding communications work
        during the annual Excalibur Excellence Awards.

      WHEN: Wednesday, May 3
          6 to 9 p.m.

      WHERE: Crystal Ballroom at the Rice
           909 Texas Ave.

      WHAT ELSE:

          --  The program will feature a historical perspective on
            communication efforts and public relations strategies that
            have contributed to the development of Houston into the
            premier city it is today, as well as a historical display
            of communication tools used over the last 50 years.

          --  Steve Smith, former KHOU-TV and KPRC-TV news anchor, will
            serve as master of ceremonies and provide the keynote
            address, "TV News and the Millennium: Thanks for Joining
            Us, Goodbye."

          --  For the first time, the evening also will feature a silent
            auction to benefit PRSA-Houston Chapter, including the
            accreditation program and the newly-formed K.I.D.S
            community service program.

          --  Tickets are $75 per person. To reserve individual tickets

            listing of 10 guests.
