WHAT:             HomeStreet Bank is holding a book drive in support
                  of Northwest Bookfest and literacy. As a sponsor of
                  Northwest Bookfest, HomeStreet Bank is collecting
                  new or "slightly read" books for children and
                  adults. The books will be donated to the YWCA of
                  Seattle-King County-Snohomish County for programs
                  supporting the healthy development of youth and
                  families.

WHEN:             The book drive runs from October 4 through
                  October 18, 2002.

WHERE:            HomeStreet Bank Puget Sound area branches (see
                  attached list of branches).
                  Hours of operation: Mon.-Thurs. 9 a.m.-5 p.m.;
                  Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

HOW:              Book donations can be dropped off at any
                  participating branch of HomeStreet Bank.  For a
                  complete list of participating branch locations,
