WHAT: Groundhog Jobshadow Day
Forty high-school students will shadow a workplace mentor at
The Walt Disney Co., including music, creative, film,
television, animation, marketing, communications and
financial executives. The mentors will provide the students
with an up-close look at how the skills learned in school are
put into action in the workplace.
Groundhog Jobshadow Day is a national initiative sponsored by
America's Promise, the National School-to-Work Opportunities
Office, Junior Achievement and the American Society of
Association Executives. This year's goal is to have more
than half a million students across America learn from job-
shadowing experiences.
WHEN: Feb. 2, 2000, 9 a.m. - noon
WHERE: The Walt Disney Co., Burbank, Calif.
