The Exchange is Lowe Enterprises', (no relation to Lowe's Home Improvement) redevelopment of the 105-acre, former Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) is an aerospace and defense conglomerate that is the result of the 1994 purchase of Grumman by Northrop. The company is the third largest defense contractor for the U.S.  campus in Hawthorne, creating a mixed-use development Mixed-use development refers to the practice of allowing more than one type of use in a building or set of buildings. In planning zone terms, this can mean some combination of residential, commercial, industrial, office, institutional, or other land uses.  with a total of 1.8 million square feet of retail, office and industrial uses.
