--(BUSINESS WIRE)

WHO: Nearly 10,000 Girl Scouts throughout the Greater Los Angeles
and Long Beach areas will learn about community service on
Saturday, May 6, during Goodwill Industries and Girl Scouts
Good Turn Day. Scouts from the Angeles and Mount Wilson
Vista (San Gabriel Valley) Girl Scout Councils will
participate in the sixth annual event. The Girl Scouts'
donations of clothing and other household goods benefit
Goodwill Industries of Southern California (GISC) and
Goodwill Industries of Long Beach and South Bay.

WHAT: The Scouts will drop off bags of donations at designated
sites located in Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley
communities, the South Bay and Long Beach. Each Scout
donating five bags or more will receive Good Turn Day
          patches, which fulfills their community-service
          requirements.

WHEN: Saturday, May 6
