International Panel To Discuss Role Of Women
In Peace And Conflict Resolution
WHAT: The Global Fund for Women will host a press event at the
Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco to mark 15 years of
grantmaking for women's rights. The event will begin with a
pre-screening of the award-winning public television series
The Visionaries featuring Global Fund grantee groups in
Nepal and Mexico, where viewers will meet courageous women
willing to take risks to advance human rights for all. As
our country faces the prospect of war with Iraq, the event
will conclude with dignitaries from around the world
gathering for a panel discussion on the role of women in
peace and conflict resolution.
