WHAT: Two giant pandas from Chengdu, China for the Smithsonian's National
Zoological Park in Washington, D.C. will arrive aboard a specially painted
FedEx MD-11 jet on Wednesday, December 6, at Washington Dulles International
Airport. -- 2:30 p.m. - Media briefing about 17-hour flight/transportation --
3:00 p.m. - Photo opportunity of "PandaONE" arrival and offloading of pandas
-- Upon Arrival - Question and answers with FedEx pilots and Zoo veterinarians
traveling aboard FedEx PandaONE Due to Airport Regulations and in order to
access the airport tarmac, all media must register by Tuesday, December 5, and
show press credentials upon arrival at the FedEx facility. This is a media-only
event and is not open to the public. WHEN: Wednesday, December 6, 2000 2:00

Tian Tian Tian Tian, or "More and More," is a 275-pound male giant panda at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park in Washington, D.C. The panda was born on August 27, 1997, at the China Research and Conservation Center for the Giant Panda in the Sichuan Province.  and Mei Xiang Mei Xiang, or "beautiful fragrance," is a female Giant Panda who lives at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park in Washington, D.C. The cub that Mei Xiang produced with mate Tian Tian is the media darling and world famous panda Tai Shan, born July 9, 2005.  will arrive on a custom-painted FedEx MD-11 jet, "FedEx PandaOne." Veterinarians Veterinarians and veterinary surgeons (vets) are medical professionals who operate exclusively on animals. Well-known and notable veterinarians include:
