Entertainment Editors

ADVISORY.. for Thursday Thursday: see week.  (March 7)

MEDIA ALERT:

Celebrities A celebrity is a person who is widely-recognized in a given society and commands a degree of public and media attention. The word is derived from the Latin celebritas, from the adjective celeber ("famous," "celebrated").  Will Visit New Jersey to Promote the Film Industry

WHAT: In response to legislation sponsored by Senators Peter
Inverso and Shirley Turner, several television and movie stars
will be descending upon Trenton and Hamilton Township to meet
with legislative leaders and local officials to promote the
concept of bringing a larger share of the movie industry to
        New Jersey.

Senator Inverso has announced today that several events have
been coordinated for March 7th, through a joint effort between
his office and CSC Communications, to promote the movie
industry in New Jersey by providing incentives through
        proposed legislation.

Thomas Colitsas, of CSC Communications, arranged for several
film industry representatives to travel to New Jersey to
promote the idea of increasing the number of films shot in New
Jersey. "The celebrities believe New Jersey can benefit
significantly by offering incentives to shoot movies and
television here," said Colitsas. "The whole country is losing
a lot of money to Canada, who offers these very incentives to
the movie industry, and the celebrities want to come here and
explain that to the leaders of this state", added Colitsas.
