WHY: Every day in the United States, 2,100 children are reported
missing according to the FBI. This statistic is staggering
and law enforcement is quick to point out that a current
photograph is the single most important tool in recovering a
missing child. M.I.L.K. provides a way to store and instantly
retrieve photos and information on children in the event of an
emergency. The M.I.L.K. program supports the National Center
for Missing & Exploited Children and its efforts to promote
Internet and child safety by helping create a virtual,
nationwide dragnet between NCMEC, law enforcement and end
users.
