The California Floodplain Management Task Force, established by the Legislature to address state and local floodplain management issues, recently completed its report after an extensive stakeholder consensus process and public meetings last year. The Task Force made 38 recommendations concerning ways to improve public safety and to support better uses of agricultural, economic and environmental resources.
