   -- Location: Marina Park North, behind Seaport Village on the
Embarcadero

   -- Music: Seven stages featuring country, rock 'n' roll, salsa,
oldies, big band, folk, classic rock and jazz

   -- Special features: Non-stop entertainment, arts and cultural
offerings, carnival rides, dancing, crafts, children's activities,
international food booths, sports center, The First Night(R) Fireworks
Show at midnight, and much more!

   -- Make Your Mark Wall: Sponsored by Starbucks Coffee Company,
attendees at First Night San Diego(R) will have the opportunity to
make a pledge to make San Diego a better community in 2004. In
particular, Starbucks Coffee Company will be soliciting volunteers for
two projects for 2004 -- a reading program in conjunction with the San
Diego Children's Museum and a home refurbishing project for Interfaith
Community Services.

   -- Background: First Night(R) San Diego celebrates its twelfth
year as San Diego's biggest, brightest and most entertaining New
Year's Eve party. First Night(R) San Diego is a wholesome alcohol-free
alternative for families to ring in the New Year together.

   -- Tickets: $20 adults (13 and older) -- $10 children 12 and under
-- children under 2 are always free. Tickets may be purchased at
www.firstnightsandiego.com or call 619-296-8731. Ticket price includes
admission and all attractions except food and souvenirs.
