WHAT:       First Launch of the Boeing Delta IV

            The first of the family of five new rockets developed by
            The Boeing Co. makes its debut launch that will carry the
            commercial telecommunications satellite W5 for Eutelsat
            S.A. of Paris

WHO:        Boeing Expendable Launch Systems

WHEN:       Sat., Nov. 16, 2002
            Between 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. EST

NOTES:      Accredited domestic media attending the launch in Florida
            are required to RSVP to Villanueva, by Mon., Nov. 11.
            Please include photographers. Domestic media attending the
            launch must be U.S. citizens and provide a valid U.S.
            government I.D., vehicle registration or rental car
            agreement and proof of insurance to gain access to the
            base.

            Media are required to register at the Boeing Press
            Operations Center located at The DoubleTree Hotel, 2080
            North Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach, Fla., 32931. The center
            will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST beginning Wed., Nov. 13
            until launch day. Press kits, badges, agendas and maps
            will be provided. An electronic press kit is also
            available on the Boeing Web site at:

            Boeing will host a launch viewing site on base for the
            media. Media will be required to meet at the Pass and I.D.
            Office parking lot at the South (Main) Gate of Cape
            Canaveral Air Force Station no later than 3:30 p.m. EST on
            Nov. 16 to be escorted by Boeing and Air Force personnel
            to the launch viewing site. Boeing issued press badges
            must be worn.

            A live satellite broadcast of the launch will be available
            throughout the continental United States and portions of
            Western Europe at:
