WHAT: FedEx to transport the two-and a-half-year-old dolphin
"Cupid" from the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network (TMMSN)
in Galveston, Texas to his new home in Vallejo, Calif.
On Valentine's Day 2003, Cupid was rescued on Bryan Beach by
TMMSN staff and volunteers, after sustaining injuries that
left him unable to swim. Since that time, the TMMSN has
provided Cupid 24-hour care and supervision at their
rehabilitation facilities. Following his successful recovery,
Cupid will now make his way to his new home at Six Flags
Marine World in Vallejo, Calif., on a FedEx Express A-300
(Houston to Memphis) and MD-10 (Memphis to Sacramento).
