      WHAT: FedEx will transport the priceless collection of Disney
        memorabilia from Los Angeles to Walt Disney World Resort (WDW)
        in Florida on a FedEx Express A300 airplane, renamed Spirit of
        Imagination for this once-in-a-lifetime shipment. This is the
        first time the Disney artifacts have left California and many
        of the items have never been seen publicly.
          FedEx Spirit of Imagination is scheduled to touch down at
        Orlando International Airport at 2:30 p.m. EDT. FedEx vehicles
        will transport the artifacts from the airport to Disney-MGM
        Studios, where Mickey Mouse will be on hand to sign for the
        shipment.
          Prior to leaving LAX, FedEx and Disney spokespeople will be on
        hand to answer questions and provide interviews. In addition,
        media will be able to shoot footage of the shipment being
        loaded and the plane departing.

      BACKGROUND: The priceless collection of memorabilia - part of the
        "100 Years of Magic" celebration commemorating the centennial
        of Walt Disney's birth - will be publicly displayed at the
        Walt Disney World Resort beginning October 1, 2001. Walt
        Disney's office desk chair and cabinet, original Mickey Mouse
        Club ears, and the Oscar for "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea"
        are among the more than 400 pieces of Disney memorabilia to be
        shipped on FedEx Spirit of Imagination.

Due to airport regulations and in order to access the airport tarmac, all media must register and show press credentials upon arrival at the FedEx facility. This is a media-only event and is not open to the public.
