"Aggressive driving and road rage are serious problems on America's roads," says Bodine. "We hope to increase driver safety awareness and at the same time have a fun-filled day at the track." Celebrity drivers have been recruited to drive "legends" cars around the 1.8-mile, 10-turn course. Legends cars are a 5/8 scale of American two-door sedans or coupes built between 1928 and 1948, and are powered by 1200 cc, four-cylinder engines that deliver 122 horsepower. "We're having great success in getting race car drivers and celebrities to participate," says Bodine, who is currently second in points in the NASCAR Busch Series.
