The Event: Internet Security: Whose Responsibility is it?
"Internet Security: Whose Responsibility is it?" will explore the
intricacies of managing our cyberworld.
With all the technology we have today, why are we still vulnerable
to packet monkeys, script kiddies and other hacker/crackers? Do we
need to involve government regulators or law enforcement? Can industry
provide a better policing mechanism?
From enterprise systems to ISPs, from Web hosting to small offices
around the world, we each have a role to play in managing Internet
security. The panel participants represent leading-edge companies from
Internet appliance developers to covert security software
manufacturers, from value-added resellers to the largest financial
network in the world. Together, they will discuss the impact of the
evolving hacker/cracker epidemics to the future of e-commerce,
personal access to the information age.

pre-determined and agreed upon topics to the assembled panel. There
will be a short audience Q & A following the discussion. The panel
