ADVISORY...

--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 2002
TOPIC: A report released by the Education Trust, a non-profit group, says one in four classes at public middle schools and high schools are instructed by teachers who are not trained in the subject. The report, based on a random survey of teachers by the Education Department, found that the problem is even worse in schools serving poor and minority students, according to an article by The Associated Press. Beginning this fall, the federal government will require schools to inform parents when their child is being taught by a teacher who doesn't have the training to teach a particular subject.
